Balboa Island Fresh Fruit Stand

Fresh Fruit Stand
Balboa Island, Newport Beach
near the Ferry

Just about one of the best hidden treasures in Newport Beach, the Fresh Fruit stand on Balboa Island, right next to the Ferry on the Boardwalk, feeds locals and tourists for an arm and a leg.. and only the best and freshest in quality. The flavors from these fruits are utterly the best you can get out of any fruit, anywhere. I swear, if you have a mango here it'll taste the same as it does in Hawaii. Outrageous, yes. I don't know how they do it. Good soil and light?? And a little bit of love, of course. They are the best fresh fruit stall in Orange County, and I've never had a better chocolate-dipped strawberry.
Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry

For a whopping' $2.50 per strawberry, it was worth every penny. The indulgence is out of this world! This is the best I've ever had, better than Finale in Boston. It is huge and juicy and fresh. The chocolate is drowned and chilled on it. It is so delicious in all-respects. And the chocolate... the chocolate! Ghiradelli is to applaud. The chocolate is semi-sweet and utterly sinful. I had chocolate smears all over my face at the end. Incredible!

First off, the strawberry was half the size of my fist. Not bad. It was fresh, full and succulent with fresh, sweet fruit juices. This was divine. The chocolate was chilled and engulfed the strawberry generously, with extra chocolate waves chilled in a drippage formation stemming an inch or two from the strawberry itself. Beautiful. This is my favorite treat from Balboa Isle. Don't miss it. They also have heirloom tomatoes the size of footballs.
